“Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food” – Hippocrates
I am very passionate about nutrition and natural health. I have practiced medicine in Syria for over 15 years. While practicing medicine, I realized how nutrition, herbs, and a healthy lifestyle have big impacts on people’s health. Nutrition education simply isn’t prioritized enough in the medical curriculum. So, I went with my dream to study Holistic Nutrition. Adding the nutrition piece of knowledge to the medical one is like adding the missed piece of the puzzle to the whole seen. It is complementary knowledge. Both support you to reach your health goal, but they use different approaches (diagnosing and treating vs looking for imbalances in your nutrition that are related to your health condition), both use pills, but nutritional pills are natural.
I believe that everyone should have the right to be informed about the natural nutritional approach to healing their health condition. The nutritional approach supported with supplements and healthy lifestyle habits deserves to be the first-to-go solution for preventing and managing a variety of health conditions
What is Holistic Nutrition?
Holistic word is derived from the Greek word “holos” which means ” the whole”, it refers to the whole person. The holistic approach does not only look at the symptoms or health complaints, but it considers the whole person, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It digs deeply into the root causes of the health complaints, and it promotes wellness through the natural approach like healthy lifestyle changes, nutritional advice and diets, herbs, teas, supplements, and physical activity
“Health in the holistic approach” focusses on a person’s wellness and not just the absence of illness. It is the presence of energy, viability and the feeling of wellness in its all aspects, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
